Due to the new rest rules Fedex expects to hire 700 pilots.

 

In addition, there WILL be a pilot shortage in 2-3 years simply from mandatory retirements. For example, American Airlines has more pilots over 45 than under. Expect to move up the seniority list quickly once the retirements begin.
